Lil League from Exile Tribe is a six-member group with an average age of 19 years old. Formed in 2022, the vocal, rap, and dance group has bagged the New Artist Award at the 65th Japan Records Awards in 2023. Lil League was in Singapore last week as part of Music Matters Live 2026 and The Fifth Parlour had the opportunity to chat with them.
Meet Sena Iwaki, Tatsuhiro Nakamura, Kodai Yamada, Matora Okao, Haima Momoda and Sora Nanba from Lil League. The group was formed after they won the iCON Z 2022 ~Dreams For Children~ beating 48,000 applicants who auditioned. Since then, the group has released singles, albums and touring cities in Japan and performed in Thailand. In March, Lil League released their second album, Neomatic. “The title, Neomatic, shows strong wish to become and represent to the new generation,” explained the group.
If this is your first time hearing about Lil League, then you need to check out Rollah Coaster. Besides it being their debut song, this song best reflects their style, culture and character. The bright colours, high energy and their cheeky characters is what this group is all about.
During the interview, I caught myself laughing for most part of the interview. There were so many random moments where I was caught off-guard. For example, when Momoda was introducing himself, he suddenly burst into his high voice. Funny, laidback, cheeky, energetic best describes the group and I am sure you will get to experience it during their performance or interaction with them.

For now, as we wait patiently for more happenings on Lil League, you can add their new single, Boku wo Sagashiteta, released in August to your playlist. “It reflects Gen Z’s feelings about facing your worries and moving forward,” shared the group on the meaning behind this song.
