The 28-year-old BRIT Award-winning, multi-platinum selling musician is back with Anyone For You (Tiger Lily), the latest single off his upcoming album. George Ezra dropped a few teasers on his Tiktok to keep his fans anticipating. 

Gold Rush Kid shows the “honest” side of Ezra. He explained in an interview with The Guardian that he “recognises the moment as it has happened and discovering contentment within it.” This is a different outlook compared to his first two albums. It is said that the lyrics for Anyone For You are ideas found in old notebooks and moments he shared with musicians in the studio. Listening to the song puts you in a good mood – like an anthem. 

Streaming Ezra’s Staying at Tamara’s on repeat triggered the spontaneous trip to Perth in 2019 where I got to catch his performance live at the Red Hill Auditorium. This is thanks to the surge of positivity that I experienced listening to Ezra’s Shotgun, the most played song on my Spotify playlist. I am looking forward to the full album, Gold Rush Kid, which is due for release on June 10. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to catch him live again in the UK maybe?
