With international travel in the hang and postponed yet again due to Covid-19, Singaporeans miss the experience of renting hotels or the AirBnb apartments around the world. Thankfully this year, the Singapore government introduced the SRV (Singapore Rediscovery Vouchers) for hotel staycations and visiting attractions in Singapore.
Situated at Middle Road, Hotel G is accessible by numerous popular areas such as Dhoby Ghaut, Little India and Bugis which all are within walking distance. Presently, the hotel is going at $100 per night which you can booked on the authorised app, Klook. So if you are booking it for a day, you are practically staying for free!
The 4-star hotel looks pretty chic starting from the lobby to the restaurant on the first floor and to the rooms as well. I booked the Good Queen Room which is bigger than expected! The moment you enter, the toilet is on your right followed by the large bed upfront.
You will have more than enough space to house five friends for that unforgettable hangout session. The room have this very chic instagrammable vibes to it with a dream catcher hanging from the ceiling connected to the light, which you can see from the picture.
The hotel provides an option with breakfast and I recommend having the waffles as it was delicious. The waffle are made to order and comes to you warm with honey and bunch or condiments you can eat it with. A perfect American breakfast you can say . Just take note that the breakfast set is not Halal certified. Alternatively, you could head down to the Muslim restaurant just below plus other establishments nearby such as McDonald’s at Peace Centre and Starbucks at Wilkie Center.
I enjoyed every minute of the experience, from checking into my room till the time to bid farewell. The staffs were friendly and accommodating to my needs. I was pleased to have celebrated my birthday during the two nights stay and will be back again at Hotel G in the future! The only reason I wanna come back? The area of the hotel is smack in between three tourist area, the hotel room is comfortable and suitable for couples and of course it’s super affordable at $100 per night! So I don’t see why not right?
The next long weekends is on National Day, so if you are looking for a staycation at an affordable price, this is for you. Do not forget to adhere to the safe management measures! Stay safe everyone!
