The choir’s journey started back in 2002 and has since participated in NBC’s America’s Got Talent Season 9 (quarter-finalists), performed at the White House and touring across the United States and abroad. The choir consists of children aged four to eighteen living along the Wasatch Front in Utah, United States.
In time with this festive season, they have released a brand new holiday EP, The More You Give together with a music video of their title track. The EP is filled with their favourite Christmas songs. Furthermore, these songs were chosen to bring different emotions such as joy, gratitude and peace as said by Emma.
So what is it liked recording and filming during this pandemic?
With all the guidelines in placed and social distancing, they are unable to gather. Hence, they have to record at home and send it to their choir director who then blends their voices. As for filming, they have to film in smaller groups and wear a mask until it is time to be on camera. It is amazing how they are able to make it work despite all the obstacles and restrictions they faced!
The Fifth Parlour would like to thank Emma, Kelli, Russell, Maxwell and Ella from One Voice Children Choir for taking time for the interview and Big Picture Media for coordinating the interview.
