You’ve probably already heard of Singapore’s Grunge Rock band, Knightingale. But did you know that they made it through the vigorous auditions for Baybeats 2015? Budding band Knightingale started off at the bottom, and now they’re rising up to the top real quick. In just over a year, they’ve already played a handful of shows like Ignite Festival 2014 and such.
The Fifth Parlour caught up with the band last Saturday, before their show at Hood Bar and Cafe and we had a lovely chat about the music, future plans and how the preparations for Baybeats 2015 has been for them.
With Ashwin Rao on vocals and rhythm guitar, Faiz Lattif on lead guitar and Deon Chan on drums, the band has big plans for the future of Knightingale. If you think that playing for Baybeats will be the biggest show yet for the band, you thought wrong! With big talents and even bigger dreams, the band tells The Fifth Parlour about their views and plans for their music.
Check them out at KnightingaleSG.bandcamp.com if you haven’t already, and be sure to catch them playing at the Arena; Esplanade Outdoor Theater at 6.30pm, Friday 26th June 2015.
