Held at the Suntec Convention Center, the annual Singapore Hit Awards ceremony was filled with dazzling line-ups of artists such as Stefanie Sun, Aaron Yan, Bii, Sam Lee, Eric Moo and over 30 Mandopop stars from across Asia. The Fifth Parlour was honoured to be invited to the event to celebrate the best in the Mandopop.
The “Walk of Fame” gave us a glimpse of what the stars were wearing tonight.

Songwriter XiaoHan, nominated thrice in the Best Local Music Composition Award category, one of which he was co-nominated with Kenny Khoo, was the first few to grace the Walk of Fame.

Known for her lovely ballads, Taiwanese singer Jia Jia graced the event in a purple long gown. She was nominated for Most Popular Female Artist and Best Female Vocalist.

One of the Hot favourites, Taiwanese singer Aaron Yan got the loudest cheers as he walked the Walk of Fame.

Korean/Taiwanese singer Bii on the other hand, also got the loudest cheers from the fans.
The ceremony opened with an energetic dance performance by DJsLim Peifen, Siau Jiahui, Xie Jiafa and Chung Kun Wah who were hosts for the event. As the event progressed with the award presentations, the audience were also treated to aperformances by Winnie Soo, homegrown artistes Kenny Khoo, LingKai, Kiat Goh, Gavin, Boonie Loo, Stella Seah and the newly crowned Project Superstar female champion Abigail Yeo. On stage, they presented their best sides, singing their debut songs with great confidence in front of the large audience and many veteran singers and producers like Stefanie Sun and Lee Weisong.

Kelly Poon, Jess Lee and Li Ronghao received the Outstanding Regional Artist Awards on stage presented by Felicia Chin and Pierre Png.
Special mentions went to James Morris-Cotterill and Kenny Khoo who were both awarded the Media Recommendation Award, Li Ronghao who took away the Best New Artist Award after a recent win at the 25th Golden Melody Awards 2014, Wang Dawen who was presented with the Most Popular New Artist Award and Jia Jia who was awarded with the Breakthrough Artist Award.

During the ceremony, performances from Li RongHao, James Morris-Cotterill, Bii and Aaron Yan deeply captivated the audience.

Bii was also awarded the Charismatic Male Performer Award which he certainly lived up to.

Taiwanese singer Aaron Yan surprised his fans by walking down the stage to perform in front of the audience
Aaron Yan clinched the Listeners’ Choice OSIM Favourite Album Cover Award and the Most Popular Male Artist Award, attracting screams from his fans among the audience.

Eric Moo who was presented with the Honorary Award
The ceremony later reached new peaks with guest performances by Taiwanese singer Sam Lee and award-winning singer Eric Moo who brought the audience back in time with their song medleys. Eric Moo was also presented with the Honorary Award of the night.

The biggest winner of the night went to Stefanie Sun, who captivated the crowd with her performance. She received a total of four awards which included Y.E.S. 93.3FM Pick of the Pops Most Popular Hit Award, Best Album Award, Best Female Vocalist Award and the Most Popular Female Artiste Award.

The Singapore Hit Awards 2014 ended spectacularly with many exciting and reminiscing performances by the artists who presented their best on stage. It was definitely an unforgettable night of music appreciation, which also brought back fond memories of every song performed.
