Two years ago, I shared three hotels in Johor that are connected to shopping centre. Now, there is another hotel added to the list – Sheraton Johor Bahru. Opened in October 2025, this hotel is connected to SKS City Mall. Just five minutes away from the Causeway and the JB CIQ checkpoint, this 5-star luxury hotel is under Marriot.

As I was celebrating a special occasion, I wanted to stay somewhere that I had yet to try. Booked through Trip.com for close to $275, I selected the Deluxe room which includes breakfast for two. I appreciate the 35m² room space as it is quite spacious and there is plenty of space where you can just dump your shopping bags after a whole day of shopping. If you are coming with an infant, there is enough space for a baby cot!

Amenities and Pool

I had time to check out other amenities such as their swimming pool area and gym. There are two swimming pools; one suitable for adults, while the children’s swimming pool has a playground attached to it. I can just imagine how my nephews will enjoying running around both swimming pools. The gym offers the basic amenities and towels and water are provided. I wish I had an extra day just to try all the amenities!

The Breakfast Spread

I am so glad that my stay included breakfast because I was really looking forward to it after checking videos on TikTok. There are so many varieties to choose from, from the different ethnic cuisines to options for those watching their weight. I really had a hard time choosing which one to prioritize. I went around a few rounds before deciding to order my protein first – the egg station. Their drink section even has a section just for iced Teh Tarik.

Towards the end, something caught my eye at their pastry counter – a coffee croissant. I am a fan of croissants, so even though I was super full, I had to give it a try. If you are a fan of the famous Roti Boy, you will love this. Each bite melts in your mouth. I wish I could have brought home some!

Final Thoughts

Overall, I enjoyed my stay there. The staff there are always smiling, courteous and friendly to everyone. Everyone I met there never failed to greet or check in on me. Will I come back? Of course! The next time I am back, I would like to stay in the Family Room together with my nephews!
