MASA Singapore 2026 is a multidisciplinary cultural movement celebrating Indonesia’s contemporary creative scene, taking place in Singapore over the course of a month!

Carrying the theme “A Sight into the Golden Indonesia Era,” MASA Singapore 2026 showcases Indonesia as a living culture—one that continuously evolves through creativity, craftsmanship, innovation, and the enduring spirit of gotong-royong or mutual cooperation.

Upon entering the hall at Takashimaya Shopping Centre, I was immediately greeted by captivating scents inspired by various parts of Indonesia, curated by Andrea Novita x Van Aroma. The patchouli scent from the islands of Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Java was my top choice, as it is beautifully subtle and not overpowering to the senses.

Next, the Experience Room by AMMAN, was a mini walkthrough exhibition space featuring priceless artworks, including one of my favourite artists, Eko Nugroho. His works have been in numerous exhibitions worldwide and in a well received film.

A quick coffee break from browsing trendy streetwear and architectural pieces led me to Suasana Kopi across the hall. The Blok M, Jakarta favourite is instantly recognisable by its red flower logo, and they were brewing a fresh, aromatic Arabica Aceh Gayo.
Experiencing the sheer scale of the 80+ Indonesian brands and creators at MASA Marketplace proves the country’s cultural footprint extends far beyond traditional Batik or the ancient stones of Borobudur. The trade show highlighted a progressive creative ecosystem where tradition evolves into new expressions, driven by an unstoppable wave of modern talent putting Indonesia on the global map.
