Do not miss out on Jack’s Place Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year Day dine-in set lunch and dinner menus for those preferring to eat in the restaurants and the best part is, every single festive day, the menu is different! I had the opportunity to taste the Christmas Eve Dinner Set which comes with a soup, salad, main course and dessert.

The meal started with Butternut Squash Soup with Turkey and Smoked Salmon Cocktail with Avocado Cream & Festive toppings. While I enjoyed the Smoked Salmon Cocktail and the cranberries on top, the texture of the Butternut Squash Soup was too thick and sweet for me.

For the main course, there are three options; Half Lobster au Gratin with Turkey & Chestnut Stuffing, Grilled Salmon & Half Shell Scallop with Lemon Basil Cranberry Sauce and Grilled N.Z. Tenderloin Steak with Horseradish & Chive Butter.

I opted for the Half Lobster au Gratin with Turkey & Chestnut Stuffing ($48.80). The standout of the dish was the Turkey & Chestnut Stuffing. The turkey meat and chestnut were minced and stuffed like a sausage; sliced into round shapes which makes it easy for people of all ages to eat. I enjoyed the piquant onion compote that accompanied the turkey stuffing. Not forgetting the star component, the half lobster was cooked perfectly with decadent melted cheddar cheese over the tender and fleshy meat.

The meal ended with a mini chocolate log cake which is just the right portion to polish off after a hearty meal.

As you start planning your Christmas’ dinner plans, be sure to include Jack’s Place as one of the dining options. For more information about the festive offerings, do visit Jack’s place website or visit any of Jack’s Place restaurants.

The Fifth Parlour would like to thank to our Guest Writer, Vanessa Sum for the review and Jack’s Place for the invitation.
