In Singapore, we commemorate World Mental Health Day (WMHD) on October 10. In conjunction with WMHD, creative production house, AOR Global and music labels, Starpop Philippines and Where Are the Fruits worked with Singapore-based artists, KIRI, kotoji and Marian Carmel to produce a 5-single EP titled My Safe Place which surrounds mental health.
Before the official release of the EP, which is on October 7, the artists will be releasing their singles within the same week. KIRI will start the ball rolling by releasing her single, Get Well Soon, on October 5 followed by Kotoji and Marian Carmel.
Apart from releasing the EP, the ladies will be holding My Safe Place Concert on October 12 at Esplanade Recital Studio to raise funds and share their love for music in the hopes that it will help those facing any difficulties. The concert will also feature other performers such as Trisha Denise and LU.ME. Tickets are now on sale on SISTIC at $40 where a portion of the proceeds will go to Singapore Street Festival for their upcoming mental health projects.
If you are unable to attend the concert but would like to support this cause, do purchase the singles when it is out as a portion of the revenue will benefit non-profit organisations, Shan You and Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) in Singapore, and Bantay Bata 163 in the Philippines.
