Today, multi-Platinum chart-topping singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Lauv returns with a brand new single entitled 26 available everywhere now via Virgin Music Label & Artist Services.

26 marks Lauv’s first release of 2022 and sets the stage for the arrival of his highly-anticipated sophomore full-length album which is due to arrive later this year.

On the track, which Lauv wrote during the pandemic, he leans on a sped-up guitar riff and hypnotic beat. OIver the nuanced soundscape are confessional lyrics that paint a vivid picture with cinematic and reflective lines such as, “Can I tell you a story about a boy who broke his own heart and he always blamed everybody else, but the truth is that he did it to himself.“

“26 is the first song from my next album,” Lauv reflects upon the single. “It’s the moment I woke up and realized I needed to do some work to get back to the kid I was before my life and career got so crazy.”

Such honesty defines the roadmap for Lauv’s upcoming album. This time around, he opens himself up like never before to expand his signature sound. The focus is on the storytelling as he crafts an immersive and irresistible body of work steeped in moments of nostalgia, conflict, and ultimately, self-empowerment.
