inch Releases Brand New Single ‘Flags’ featuring ShiGGa Shay

Inch Chua, stylized as inch, is a Singaporean singer-songwriter, musician, producer, actress and artist previously based in New York and Los Angeles. She first rose to fame in the local indie scene with band Allure, before branching out on her own to create a name for herself in the local music scene. Mousedeer, Sun & Moon are a few of the many songs to her name. Flags is also her first release from her highly anticipated album which is slated to be released at the end of this year.

Through her new single, Flags, it talks about how should we respond to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, social unrest in the world and how we humans should react when it feels like life is failing us. A rather deep meaning beside the song, yet sometimes we cannot help but to actually sit and ponder about it. inch described the track as one loaded with passion and meaning which combines catchy hooks with deeper thoughts and a very outspoken commentary on everything that is happening throughout the world.

On working with ShiGGa Shay, inch mentioned of how much he is like a younger brother to her. Despite collaborating on previous occasions, inch is very happy that it is his first time jumping on a track of hers. ShiGGa Shay has also recently announced that all proceeds from his recently released S$ mixtape for June, July and August will be donated to the Black Lives Matter Los Angeles Chapter. Following in his footsteps, inch will also be donating all proceeds made from July, August, and September to H.O.M.E. – the Humanitarian Organization for Migration Economics, a Singapore-based charity dedicated to empowering and supporting migrant workers who find themselves victims of human rights violations and suffer abuse and exploitation.

The official music video which will be out soon will showcased never seen before rehearsal footage from inch’s 2018 show, No Man’s Land, which revolved around her trip and personal experiences as part of 2041’s International Antarctic Climate Force Expedition. Enjoy the lyric video for now!
