Boyce Avenue, Be Somebody (Live in Singapore 2015 Review)

Fans of Boyce Avenue was treated to a full headline tour in support of their newest EP Speed Limit. This wasn’t the band first visit to our shore; they were here in 2013 for Music Matters and their first headline show in November.

After waiting for an hour and a half from 7 pm, finally, at exactly 8.45 pm, the lights dimmed and one by one, the brothers entered the stage. Speed Limit was the opening number which got the crowd cheering. The setlist for the night consists of original songs and a few of their hit covers on YouTube. It is great to that they decided to strip it down to acoustic for a few of their covers, which brings out Alejandro’s sweet voice!

The three brothers never fails to bring the crowd to their feet with their amazing talents. Their cover of Bruno Mars Locked Out Of Heaven was the song that got the party started. However, the highlight of the night was when they performed their famous cover of One Direction’s Story Of My Life. Usually, this song was sung by Alejandro but that night, both Fabien and Daniel got their part as well.

Not only I was blown away with their performance, their harmonies were amazing! We were treated to a 3-song encore with their hit song, Every Breath. Alejandro decided to ask the crowd to jump at their last chorus and boom, the confetti started to fill the area. In comparison to their last show, this show was way better even though it started almost an hour late. The two hour concert has everyone singing along to every cover and original song the band performed. They even performed a brand new original song title Be Somebody which they wrote recently.

Boyce Avenue never fails to amaze me with every performance. I’m already looking forward to their next gig. Head over to our Facebook Page for more pictures of Boyce Avenue Live in Singapore!

The Fifth Parlour would like to thank Live Empire for the invitation.
