FTISLAND, comprising of Lee Hong Ki (main vocal), Choi Jong Hun (guitar/keyboard), Lee Jae Jin (bass/vocal), Song Seung Hyun (rap/guitarist) and Choi Min Hwan (drummer) were warmly welcomed by a large crowd of fans at Changi International airport last Thursday, 6th March.

They were in Singapore for their 6th anniversary concert “FTHX”. “FTHX”, which translates to FTISLAND and THX (short form for thank you), was an avenue to thank their fans (Primadonnas) for supporting them over the past six years.

The show officially started when a clip of FTISLAND members opening a bottle of champagne backstage was shown before the boys were on stage dancing and singing to Flower Rock. This particular song is a hit in the Japan when the boys first broke into the Japanese market.

After introducing themselves in English to the fans, the bands performed songs such as “Hello Hello”, “Memory” and “Paper Plane”. The band also performed their Japanese hit songs which were translated to Korean such as “Shiawaseori” (also known as Theory of Happiness), “Time To”, “Black Chocolate”, “Top Secret”, “Freedom” and “Beloved”. Leader Jong Hun showed off his talents during the song, Severely, when he played the keyboard. Primadonnas were singing along to the songs and the atmosphere of the concert was great.

During the bridge of Flower Rock, Hong Ki asked the crowd to “sit down” and to jump up high at his cue. This unique way of interacting with the audience has been a pattern in every FTISLAND concert.

FTISLAND will  next be heading to Thailand, Bangkok, on the 29th March 2014.
