Food Review: Delicious

How delicious is Delicious?

Located at Scotts Square, Delicious is a relatively new restaurant originated from Malaysia. The team decided to pop by for dessert after celebrating one of our close girlfriend birthday at Far East Plaza!

The restaurant wasn’t hard to locate at all. Just walk into Scotts Square, take the escalator to B1 and spot the prettiest restaurant! I must say that I was pretty amazed by how cute the decors were. I never knew that Scotts Square had such a nice and cozy place to chill out!

We visited after dinner so getting a seat was pretty easy. We were told to wait even though there were lots of empty seats, perhaps the staff just did not want to “open” up the area so as to save the hassle of clearing up after that.

What an amazing setting!

Even before getting a seat, we decided on a Banoffee Pie, Berrilicious Chocolate Pavlova, Apple Crumble and Oreo Cheesecake! However, when we arrived there, the last two oreo cheesecake that was on display were already reserved, so we did not get to try any unfortunately.

First up, Blackberry Apple Crumble with Vanilla Ice Cream, $8. This was probably one of the most crumbly apple crumble I have ever eaten! The blackberries and apples went really well together, not too sweet, not too sour. THE VANILLA ICE CREAM, it was p-e-r-f-e-c-t. It was so good we actually wanted to order another serving of it and eat it on its own, which I now kind of regretted not getting it! You can actually get an additional scoop of ice cream for $1.50. Pretty pricy for a serving of an ice cream, but trust me, the vanilla is so rich and of the right consistency – not too soft, not too hard.

Next up, Berrilicious Chocolate Pavlova Meringue with Strawberries and Chocolate Shavings, $9.90. Personally, I did not fancy this as much as the Blackberry Apple Crumble, but it was not too bad. This was a little too sweet for my liking! However, for the sweet tooth, this might be one for you. It is quite tough to make a good meringue, this one was pretty well done with chocolate fillings in it!

Now… My favourite dessert of this night… (I cannot wait to introduce to you this one!)

Banoffee Pie with Banana, Melted Chocolate and Cream Filling, $8. This one was soooo good all of us could not stop raving about it when we left! Definitely lived up to their name, Delicious. The sweetness was just right, bananas were generously overflowing (look at all that goodness inside of the pie!), tart was well crumbly enough. Unlike some tarts out there, this one was not dry at all because the cream went well with it.

I cannot wait to return to try their famous ‘Coconut Cake with Fresh Coconut Filling covered with Hawaiian Coconut Shavings’! Their main courses looked really delicious as well (pun intended), one of the famous ones being their ‘Duck Confit Spaghetti’. I would have tried that one if we did not already have our dinner.
