It’s the time of the year again, National Day! I have always been fond of watching National Day parades on television, because I have never been lucky enough to win tickets to watch the parade in person 😦
Since I’m into nail art, it is the first time I am going to do National Day nails. So I had some trouble thinking of what kind of designs I can come up with. National Day nails does not have to be the same old flag painted on the all of your nails, but it is up to one’s creativity to play around with colours. Red and white.
Here it is:
The index finger is inspired from candy canes, hence the swirls! This is my first time trying the swirls as nail art. As you can see, I can’t paint the Singapore Flag as it is because the dots beside the crescent moon is supposed to be stars, but I had limited space to work with and hence I used dots instead.
The diagonal stripes are free-handed and hence are not VERY straight! But I tried, right? 😉
What do you think? I have not really seen any nail art inspired from National Day as of yet, so if you have tried it, share it with us!
Happy 48th Birthday Singapore! ❤
Cheers! – Kay
