Located at SAFRA Choa Chu Kang, 10 minutes walk from Choa Chu Kang MRT and interchain, The Upsara Spa provide services which includes massage, facial, hair treatment and foot reflexology. I have only tried their massage so I will be sharing more on that.

Welcomed by friendly staff, before you start your treatment, you will be asked to fill up a health declaration form. Then, you will be ushered to the changing area where you will discover a sauna and jacuzzi. These facilities are inclusive of your treatment. For our Muslim ladies, you do not have to worry as the female and male facilities are separated.

I decided to have my massage first before utilizing the facilities. My one hour massage was shiok yet painful at the same time. The pain is because my therapist tried to unlock all the wind knots in my body. So, when she concentrated on making sure that the stubborn knots unlocks itself, it is normal to feel pain. A good pain I supposed since by the end of through session, I feel lighter. If you are not able to stand pain, just inform the therapist and they will adjust the pressure.

After an hour of massage, it is time to hit the sauna and jacuzzi. It is recommended to shower before going into the jacuzzi. A pair of shirt and short are available for your usage. If you think your experience ends there, you are wrong.

The spa provides complimentary refreshments at the relaxation lounge or Pondok. You can find puffs, crackers and the typical $1 Nasi Lemak that is sold at the hawker centre. They will also serve ginger tea and red bean soup to complete your experience. A free flow of refreshments after a massage is the perfect ending!
