Valentine’s Day is when couples make plans to celebrate love with each other. This year, SPH Radio Pte Ltd radio station KISS92 decided to make Valentine’s Day special for 20 lucky listeners. They invited UK singing sensation, Calum Scott, to their studio.
Fans were invited to send their most creative questions that they want to ask Scott and they will be selected to spent Valentine’s Day morning with the handsome man himself. I am one of the lucky 20 to be selected to attend.
The session started with a question and answer segment where all 20 fans had the opportunity to ask Scott their creative questions.
“What achievement in the past that you had that till this day, you use it to motivate or push yourself to be a better artist,” was the question I had submitted that got me here. Scott revealed that the eventful golden buzzer he received from Simon Cowell at Britain’s Got Talent was one of unforgettable moment that pushed him to be a better artist. Despite failing his audition at X Factor, his sister still believed in him and pushed him to audition for Britain’s Got Talent. Both auditioned together; however, his sister did not get to move to the next round. This prompted him to work hard towards his dream so that he can make his sister proud.
After everyone had the opportunity to ask their questions, it was time to meet the man in person up-close. This is not my first time meeting him. His music has helped me in my darkest days. When it was my turn to meet him, I shared with him how his music has helped me especially last year when I lost my mum and during my cancer treatment. Scott was glad that his music had helped me during my difficult times and was being sweet and generous as he offered a hug. If you did not know, Scott’s love language is touch, so expect hugs from when meeting him. The short chit-chat session ended with a photo taken with a rose. What a perfect way to end the date with Scott. A Valentines’ day to remember.
