It was an exciting month in Singapore as the annual Music Matters Live was launched in various stages across the arts’ district. Among those venues were the segment, Girls’ Night Out! at the TIMBRE X @ The Substation where the Fifth Parlour sat down for a chat with Kiana Valenciano before her set. This is the second time she had participated in Music Matters Live.
The beautiful and quirky fashionista updates her personal style as well as her musical performances regularly on her Instagram account, @kianavee to her 290K followers. Back in March, she released her 10-track album, See Me featuring collaborations with Curtismith, Sofia, KINGwAw, and Moophs.
The track, 5:30, from the album, was the product of well-inspired music of the 90s. Valenciano enjoys the rhythms and styles of RnB and Pop artistes namely, Aaliyah, Jojo, Brandy and more. Hence, the inspiration. She wanted a fun and exciting vibe without any need of overthinking. This track is one of her favourites from the album!
The Filipino singer-songwriter evokes her creative ideas diligently and has future projects in the works. She wishes to travel more to get more inspirative elements for the next studio album and reveal plans to compose songs with various artists.
Check out 5:30 and more on her Spotify channel today! Stay connected to her via her social medias; Instagram, Facebook and Twitter!
The Fifth Parlour would like to thank Kiana Valenciano for the interview and Music Matters Live for coordinating the interview.
