Those who listen to electronic dance music might be no stranger to Linying. From her collaborations with European producers Felix Jaehn and Lost Frequencies to French producer duo KRONO, the local singer-songwriter is definitely one to look out for.
Linying has come a long way and has carved an indie-alternative consciousness of her own. Earlier this year in January, the 22 year old’s self-penned song ‘Sticky Leaves‘ made its international debut and landed in Spotify’s American and global Viral 50 chart. This is an impressive feat considering Linying has yet to make her debut release.
Universal Music Singapore has since announced that they have signed the singer-songwriter on a multi-rights deal which includes recording rights, live shows, endorsements and merchandising. She will be co-managed by Universal Music Singapore and Foundation Music.
Following the success of her singles ‘Sticky Leaves’ and ‘Alpine’, Linying will be releasing her debut EP, Paris 12. The highly anticipated EP is set for release later this month on September 30th.
Fans can expect Paris 12 to be an emotional map. For Linying, the five-track EP is a cartography of feeling and experience. It would be a confessional record framed in especially esoteric terms for the singer-songwriter to explore how much more universally the messages could be translated.

Pre-orders of the EP are available on iTunes and include instant download of ‘Sticky Leaves’ and ‘Alpine’. Fans can pre-order Paris 12 here and stream it on Spotify here.
