Singapore has just celebrated its 51st birthday but the celebration does not stop there. Recently, musician Dick Lee and rapper, ShiGGa Shay collaborated on 1989’s classic Rasa Sayang as part of Lee’s 60th birthday concert.

Listening to this song brought me to my primary school days – when I frequently sing this song together with my classmates. It is a song that holds many memories to me. ShiGGa managed to add a modern twist to the song by rapping on it. The remake of the song made it more fun and enjoyable, but still, it holds on to its original meaning. Such a fresh twist to classic Rasa Sayang!
