Just like how the song ended on Monday- WE WERE HERE! Nightwish finally made their way here and for those of you who have been waiting for years, and years, you too were there. Especially all you metal veteran fans and musicians. It is a rare experience to have a band like this to come to Singapore and the fans became a family. It looks like an ocean of crowd when you are standing from the VIP area.
The Crowd
Despite being an Endless Form of Beautiful tour and their first time being here, oldie is definitely still goldie. Although they could not fit all the oldies that we love, Nightwish definitely bring the experience of storytelling in a concert. Before the oldie started, they started off with the introduction narration of Shudder Before The Beautiful, to hype the crowd up followed by Yours is An Empty Hope. Floor was already immersed to the heavy instrumentals by her bandmates while Emppu and Marco went around with their guitar skills and posed for the camera at the same time.

After a couple of songs from the Endless Form of Beautiful record, they brought our imagination to the mountains with 7 Days to The Wolves when Troy Donockley came out with his flute before slowing it down to The Poet and The Pendulum. Despite a different vocalist, the quality of the performance still does not change. To all the veteran metal fans out there, they still jumped, enjoyed it and sang along to the classics. Speaking of the classics, they definitely did not miss out Nemo. There was a sense of nostalgia when Tuomas hit it with his keyboard. After bringing our imagination the mountains, Nightwish brought us to The Imaginaerum and sang us a twisted tale of Peterpan with Storytime.

While everything has its ups and downs, Nightwish performs theatrically with how they organised their set list that feels like there was a prologue, climax and epilogue to end a great magical tale. There was a moment where the atmosphere went an all time high and then it gets low again like a roller coaster ride. Speaking of a roller coaster ride, they had us all coming with The Last Ride of The Day and end the show perfectly with Endless Form of Beautiful.
