Gentle Bones’ New Single, Sixty Five!

If you are a fan of Joel Tan or better known as Gentle Bones, you must have heard about his new single Sixty Five, which topped the iTunes Singapore chart within 24 hours of its release.  This is his fourth #1 on iTunes Singapore!

Sixty Five is a song written for the upcoming local movie 1965 which stars Qi Yuwu, Deanna Yusooff, Joanne Peh, James Seah, Sezairi, Mike Kasem, and Lim Kay Tong as Lee Kuan Yew. I’ve got to agree with some of the comments left on the video, this single, should be our theme song for this year’s National Day Parade. This single depicts how much this nation has gone through and how we all overcame the obstacles along the way to become what we are today.

All for the very labour and love
through every hurdle unnerved
Keep the fire burning

They may have put us in this plight,
But I won’t be frail enough to lie,
it’s our 1965

Tonight, we’ll make it out alive,
we’ll leave it all behind,
and stand up

Joel Tan never fail to amaze us with his music. Sixty Five is a sneak peak of what you can expect from his upcoming new EP which is due for release in the fourth quarter of 2015. I really cannot wait for his upcoming EP! Download Sixty Five on iTunesSpotifyDEEZER, GUVERA or rdio.
