On Wednesday night, Into the Woods held its UK Gala Premiere in London with star-studded appearance by Director Rob Marshall, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, James Colden, Daniel Huttlestone and Tracey Ullman. This movie was inspired by Grimm Brother’s fairy tales and comprised of 4 well-known fairy tales, “Red Riding Hood”, “Cinderella”, “Rapunzel” and “Jack and the Beanstalk”. The plot was centered around a couple, played by James Colden and Emily Blunt, who could not bear any children as they were cursed by the Witch, played by Meryl Streep. Later, the Witch offered to lift her curse if the couple could obtain 4 items instructed by the Witch. In search for these items, the couple met Cinderella, Rapunzel, Red Riding Hood and Jack and stories began to differ from what we know of…

Despite the cold windy weather, huge crowd of media and fans gathered before the start of the event. Meryl Streep’s appearance gathered loud screams from fans who hoped to capture her attention from a distance.

Emily Blunt stepped onto the red carpet shortly after. She literally took everyone’s breath away with her elegance. In addition, the cold weather did not seem to bother her as she made her way along the red carpet in a dazzling sleeveless long gown.

Fans were really touched by her action and later even more captivated by her radiant smile.

James Colden also graced the red carpet and gave a big wave to the crowd during one of his interviews.

Rob Marshall, the director, was also busy attending to interviews after his arrival on the red carpet.
This gala premiere held in Curzon Mayfair, London, was definitely a rare opportunity to catch the cast in person. Apart from the cast mentioned above, the movie also includes Johnny Depp, playing the Big Bad Wolf, Anna Kendrick as Cinderella and Chris Pine as Cinderella’s Prince. Be prepared to be impressed by the spectacular sets and costumes specially designed and blown away by the cast’s strong vocals in the musical film. The movie soundtracks have already made their ways up music charts shortly after Into the Woods premiered in US.
