Sensational Acapella Quintet – Pentatonix adds third show in Singapore!

Acapella sensations, Pentatonix adds a third show in Singapore for ‘Pentatonix Live in Singapore’ after tickets for their first 2 shows (12th & 13th August) sells out almost immediately upon release.

Pentatonix is an acapella group consisting of lead vocalists Scott Hoying, Kirstie Maldonado and Mitch Grassi, vocal bass Avi Kaplan and beatboxer Kevin “K.O.” Olusola. The winners of talent singing show, NBC’s The Sing-Off is set to be in Singapore this August for their 1st gig at MBS Sands Theatre on 12th, 13th and 14th August 2014.

Named after the world’s most widely recognized five-note music scale, this quintet has transformed one of pop music’s purest and most soulful expressions into an exciting future, filled with limitless sonic possibility. Since their debut in 2011, the quintet has released 3 albums selling over 500,000 copies combined and to date, has successfully amassed over 5.6 million subscribers on their official Youtube Channel (PTXOfficial) with more than 445 million views.

Their most recent album PTX Volume 2 debuted at #10 on Billboard’s Top 200 Album Chart and features 3 original songs and 5 covers including a 7-song Daft Punk medley for which the video has garnered over 65 million views to date. PTX Volume 2 follows PTX Volume 1 and PTXmas.

This August, the talented quintet will be in Singapore for a three-nights only gig and fans can expect a stellar performance from the them as they  deliver their impressive vocal powers and harmonizing abilities through a medley of genres from pop, jazz, R&B, indie, folk to dubstep and electronica.
