Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and I bet some of you have been really stressed looking for the perfect gift. Some will take this opportunity to do handmade gifts. If you have 20 minutes to spare, then why not try out baking chocolate chip cookies with just 4 easy steps!
What you will need:
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup/226g butter softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups of chocolate chips
Step 1: Creamed the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar in a mixing bowl.
Step 2: Add in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time.
Step 3: Mix the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl. Then, slowly, add in the dry mixture to the creamed ingredients.
Step 4: Add in chocolate chips. You can also add in nuts if your partner or loved ones like nits. Pour the batter on a heart shaped container. If you want to do different heart shapes sizes, you can use a cookie cutter.
Bake the cookies for 150 degrees at 20 to 25 minutes. I baked it for 20 minutes and my cookies is soft yet chewy. If you like it to be crispy, you should bake it at 25 minutes or longer. You need to watch the oven in case the cookies get burnt.
