I have always been supportive of local productions. But this time, I just find it hard to support this local talent show, The Final 1.

Firstly, I do not think that they picked the right host.

Yes, she is beautiful and I like her voice but I do not think she is suitable to be the host for this show.

Thankfully, a few weeks ago, another host was introduced, Mike Kasem.

As a current DJ on Class 95, he is more capable on communicating with the contestants and asking the right questions.

Secondly, it seems like the talented singers are being eliminated each week. It is sad to see that only a handful that is left, can really sing.

Lastly, the format of the show is too rushed. Instead of doing live shows during the top 40, they recorded it beforehand and only the result show is live. In my opinion, I think a live show is better as we will be able to see contestant’s personality and it can help the contestant get comfortable on stage.

My favourite episode was yesterday’s result show. It was shocking when Ken said that there will be three eliminations, however, I felt that the judges made the right choice.

I have a feeling that there will be another surprise next week. Even though, I am not really a fan of this show, I am still curious to know who will be The Final 1.
