Beyond the food, the gathering offered a rare chance to bridge the gap between the airwaves and the community. Hosted at FAME by Dads Corner, the event allowed listeners to enjoy a festive spread while breaking fast with Azura Goh, Ezam Ernady, Fadli Kamsani and more. The cozy atmosphere created an ideal space for everyone to connect personally with the radio personalities.
The Fifth Parlour sat down with Nity Baizura and Zuhairi Idris, the hosts of #2 Budak Nakal, along with Ezam Ernady from Malam Masih Muda to find out on how Ramadan has been.
Bazaar King or Kitchen Disaster?
When it comes to the Ramadan hustle, you are either a kitchen disaster or a bazaar king, there is no in-between! Nity and Ezam are leading the “disaster” squad. Nity managed to pull off a healthy steamed Barramundi with lime while Ezam is perfecting his cooking skills so that he can enjoy his favourite soul-warming beef soups.
Then there is Zuhairi, who wears the “Bazaar King” crown with pride, hunting down fresh Keropok Lekor because, let’s be real, frozen just does not hit the same. Whether it is a home-cooked family meal or a snack from the bazaar, the goal is the same: satisfy those cravings and avoid waste.

For many, radio was a social lifeline. I still remember the excitement of sending an SMS dedication and waiting for that moment on air—a ritual that defined a generation of listeners, myself included. Nity was at the heart of this frenzy, managing over 1,000 daily SMS requests, she shared.
While the volume was a whirlwind, she cherished those early days, as the deep connections she built then have evolved into a loyal community that continues to support her today.
The energy grew even more when Zuhairi joined, bringing his experience as a content creator to RIA 897FM.
