If you are looking for an accommodation in Bangkok, that is near the popular shopping district, read on. When I travel, I usually opt for hotel for safety reasons. A few weeks ago, I travelled to Bangkok and was looking for an accommodation. One of the local content creators shared about this affordable hotel, Lemontea Hotel.
I did my research and read the reviews on different platforms and decided to give it a try. For a stay of four nights, I only paid SGD$246.98 for the deluxe double room on Agoda. Saving more money so that I can spend more on shopping!
Upon arrival, the hotel staff assisted with our luggages as soon as we alighted from our Grab. Once we entered the hotel, the lemon tea scent greeted us. As we checked in, we were served with of course, ice cold lemon tea.
Spacious room and really spacious toilet – a simple room with basic amenities is just what I needed. On the ground floor, there is a room where you can do your laundry and ironing. As we needed to iron my clothes, I enquired if we can bring the iron to our room. Unfortunately, they did not allow and we had to bring our clothes to the ground floor. My only complaint was that the ironing room was so stuffy and I was perspiring really bad. It was an uncomfortable experience. Maybe they can include at least a standing fan for a better experience.
Would I come back to this hotel for my visit? Definitely. Here are five reasons why I will be back.
1. 7-11 is just right beside the hotel. Just a few steps away to try all the viral drinks and food. You should check out the must buy food and drinks when you visit Bangkok’s 7-11.
2. Bangkok is famous for its night market. If you do not want to be stuck in a jam and just hang around the hotel area, Pratunam Night Market is just a five minutes walk away. They also operate in the morning as well!
3. The shopping haven – Platinum Mall, Krungthong Plaza and December is less than ten minutes walk. Tofu Skincare and 100 Baht Thailand Shop are around the area as well. So you have lots of options!
4. Massage parlours, manicure shops and wellness centres, you name it. You can find along the same street as the hotel. They also close after midnight so after a long day of shopping and walking, you can destress by having a foot massage or a full body massage.
5. Halal food is abundant near the hotel. Those who prefer street food, you can find it outside of Platinum Mall or at Pratunam Night Market. There are also restaurants nearby and food courts at the nearby shopping centres.
So, if you are looking for a hotel that is walkable distance to the shopping district, then you should check out Lemontea Hotel.
