When asked about their experiences working together, both revealed that it was a joy to work and a breath of fresh air and they trusted each other on stage. They complement each other’s antics to keep the show on track. As a host, they each play the good cop and bad cop personas. Together with them, they have a panel of resident celebrity detectives including Benjamin Kheng, Gurmit Singh, Najip Ali and Xixi Lim. Various guest celebrity detectives each week will provide commentaries that will either aid or mislead celebrity contestants in their decisions.

In the game show, you will not only witness mystery singers sweating it out to lip sync or sing successfully with their professional voices but also see celebrity judges stressed over their decisions as it affects the cash prize of $10,000 at stake. That is when Bagharib would announce her infamous line “it is decision time!”

The competition had a hush-hush situation on set. Even Gomez and Bagharib were not allowed to be part of the “scam”. Timing for the performers was planned strategically. Thus, limiting the profile of the singers to anyone on set. Look out for the comedic moments throughout the ten episodes when local celebrities and personalities decide the fates of the singers. Bagharib added that she enjoyed seeing her peers in the hot seat!

To avoid being eliminated by celebrity contestants, the mystery singers must either prove their singing prowess or cleverly conceal their lack of vocal talent. Using reasoning and intuition, celebrity contestants must deduce the mystery singers’ musical capabilities and weed out the bad singers across multiple rounds. The goal is to retain a good singer as the last person standing.

Gomez and Bagharib shared that the mystery singing show is full of amazing singers who are both good and bad. An exciting and fun guessing game you can play with your friends and family at home. Ending the interview by saying that is “the celebration of life…and helps you forget reality for an hour!

Catch I Can See Your Voice Singapore on Monday at 7.30pm on Channel 5. You could also catch it on mewatch and Mediacorp Entertainment on YouTube.

The Fifth Parlour would like to thank Mediacorp for coordinating the interview.
