The 16th edition Singapore Comic Con (SGCC) exceeded my expectations with its impressive lineup and vibrant atmosphere. It continues to grow larger each year and it is clear that the enthusiasm and passion surrounding this iconic international event were buzzing with the young and young at heart!

Here are some highlights from SGCC!

The incredible range of exhibitors showcasing figurines and collectibles this year include renowned brands like Infinity Team, Funko Pop, Blookes, LEGO, Tanashi, Mighty Jaxx and Threezero. They had their best displays forward, offering fellow hobbyists like me and you a chance to expand their personal collections with the must-have pieces.

The weekend also celebrated the dedication and creativity of cosplayers who invested their time and resources to bring their beloved characters to life. Their stunning portrayals added an extra layer of excitement and energy to the event. I was strolling around the hall and caught a glimpse of many interesting ones. Can you guess where are they from?

A local creative studio that caught our attention is the Heng Suay Eating House. At their booth, you can find locally inspired items or things you would have encountered or used in your daily activities.

The handmade merchandises are carefully sculpted and painted individually for its unique look. We could not resist getting the Road Sign keychains!

As a guy who grew up with cartoon series like Transformers and Power Rangers, anime and movies; SGCC is an avenue where we as fans, get together to celebrate the common artistic form we love and share. Hence, I hope that SGCC is able to host more renowned international artist in the field of voice acting or actors/actresses in general so fans can truly appreciate them in future conventions and events in Singapore.
