“Thank you to everyone for being a part of my musical evolution.” Afgan ended the set with these words after performing to a sold out crowd at The Star Gallery on Friday. The show was a dream come true for fans as he took time to connect with the fans and chatted with them.

Singapore was the last stop for his Sonder Asia Tour after a series of shows in Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, and his hometown, Jakarta. For this tour, Afgan sang mostly English songs from his EP, Sonder. Fans got to hear the EP live for the first time, with tracks like Shallow Water, Escape (featuring Jessi), and my personal favourite, Missing The Old Days. The last one really hit home for me, as Afgan reminisced about weekend trips to the record store for cassettes and vinyl.

I enjoyed listening to Afgan as he blends ballads with R&B and a mix of fast beats that spanned from both his old and new hits. During the show, Afgan even let his fans request songs on the spot!

Before the show ended, Afgan revealed a surprise for his upcoming concert in November. He shared that local singer Taufik Batisah will be making a guest appearance.
