Singer-songwriter Maisy Kay was recently in Singapore as part of Tori Kelly’s, Purple Skies World Tour. Hailing from a small countryside in England, this is her first time touring in Asia.

The one-of-a-kind musician blends nostalgic dance and pop music. Her lyrics and the overall inspiration behind every track magnify this. However, she does not limit herself to a specific genre and is open to exploring other genres to challenge herself. Do not be surprised if the next time you hear Kay’s new music, it has rock elements to it as her biggest inspiration is Freddie Mercury from Queen.
In May, Kay released her EP, Wonderlust: The Dawn. “Whimsical pop,” is the term Kay used to describe the genre of the six-track in her EP. Witness the dreamy fictional setting transformed into reality in the music video of Technicolor Honeymoon, one of the singles from her EP.
She revealed that her favourite song from the EP has to be Incandescent as it holds a special meaning. She explained that the single is about accepting gentle love while forcing yourself to break free from what you experienced during your younger days, to change for the better.

Besides gaining attention for her voice, she also has beautiful elaborate outfits. Her love for butterflies is evident as she incorporates them into her costumes! Fun fact, Maisy Kay has a lovely cat and a flutter of monarch butterflies she raises in her apartment!
Get to hear more from her as she keeps exploring and challenging herself. Stay connected to her social media platforms; Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.
