This week, we shine the light on Ethel Yap, an all-rounder entertainer. She can sing, write and act. Yap is back this year with a new single, Pills.  Pills is off her upcoming EP, Ethel Yap Vol 2.

Pills was derived from Yap’s 18-month journey with postpartum anxiety and depression. Mental illness and health issues have been a hot topic in recent years. Yap hopes that with her single, Pills, listeners are encouraged to talk about mental health issues instead of brushing it off.

Embracing motherhood is usually associated with joy and happiness however there is little discussion on postpartum depression. Yap also hopes to highlight postpartum mental illnesses and the importance of reaching out for help.

In celebration of her new EP, Yap will be holding a solo concert this month!
