School holidays are approaching in a week. If you do not have any overseas traveling plans, how about heading to Sentosa for a family staycation. This hotel is family friendly putting the importance of children as their VIPs. I had the opportunity to stay at Village Hotel Sentosa last month as part of my birthday celebration.
If you are heading via the Sentosa Express, please inform the staff at the counter that you will be staying at one of the hotels so that your ride will be free. Just two stops away from Vivo City, the hotel is located at Imbiah Station. From there, it is a short walk to the hotel.
Upon checking in the Family Room , I saw balloons, a bear, a birthday card and two boxes that is filled with mini cakes. The 36 sqm Family Room fits four adults. Each room comes with two connecting doors, either a King or Twin bed, two bathrooms and two vanity areas. So basically, it is two rooms with a connecting doors. As a family of six, four adults and two children, it was a cozy affair. But we enjoyed the close proximity as it is easier especially staying with children under six years old.
Then, I went to check out the view. For these rooms you will either get a pool or island view. Boy, I was so amazed by the view. My view was the amazing pools and I got to see parts of the beach too. Amazing way to look out of the clear glass to have a break from the devices.
At Village Hotel Sentosa, there are four thematic pools. There is something for everyone from the Lazy River to the Children’s Play Pool that comes with slides. I had fun going in and out of the pools and even played the slides with my nephews. After an hour, I was exhausted and parked myself at the pool that has jacuzzi. Even though it was a weekend and there was a crowd, with four pools, you do not have to worry about overcrowding at the pools.

With child-friendly amenities and activities, Village Hotel Sentosa ensures that you are able to enjoy yourself without leaving the vicinity. There are also movie nights that you can enjoy near the swimming pool. Come this June holiday, on Fridays and Saturdays from 7 to 22 June, you can look forward to local snacks and craft pop-up kiosks which includes ace painting, fabric fan painting, sand art, canvas painting and caricature.
If this interest you, you can check out their Village Playcation package which includes Supersized Kids’ Pack and Picnic Box. If you would like to take a step back in the itinerary planning, you can check out the Village Passport for inspiration on what you can explore in Sentosa!
