Back in 2020, Dominic Chin released his debut EP, License To Cry which has received over 1 million streams worldwide. He then successfully performed his sold-out concert Re:Licenced To Cry in 2021 at the Esplanade Recital Studio. Now, he is back with his second single with lamin.

When I first listened to Stay With Me, I caught myself enjoying the beats first then slowly dived into the lyrics. The dance track emphasized the importance of having your significant other close to you, especially during difficult times. Let’s rewind back to the Covid-19 lockdown. I am sure there are times we felt lonely being locked away. Chin experienced this too as he did not get to meet his then-partner. “FaceTime or Zoom cannot compare to being physically together with somebody. It was many painful months of separation for everybody, and I remember how painful it was not knowing when things would return to normal again. I wanted to write about the yearning and desperation to be reunited with the person you love and how much comfort, assurance and joy that brings,” explained Chin on his inspiration behind the single.

If you listened closely, you would also hear another local talent, aeriqah who is on backing vocals. More singles are expected from both Chin and lamin as they will be releasing a joint EP RUNWAY HEARTBEATS which is expected to be released later this year.
