What do you get when you mix a fluffy sweet dough with Hokkaido Milk Ice Cream?

You get a Kurtos Roll! This Hungarian dessert is centuries old and famous in Transylvania, Romania. Now, you can get your hands on this dessert at Rollney, which is newly opened at VivoCity! The Fifth Parlour had the opportunity to try three items from their menu.

For their ice cream Kurtos, there is an option of either Hokkaido milk or chocolate. I chose Hokkaido milk ice cream topped with Lotus Bischoff sauce and Oreo crumbs toppings. You might think this combination is too sweet for your liking but it was the best decision ever! The Kurtos was soft and you are in for a surprise when you are almost done with the Kurtos. I am glad I chose the Hokkaido milk flavoured ice cream, which goes well with the cinnamon sugar coated dough.

As for the savoury rolls, I chose the Hot Chilli Chicken. Spicy lovers will love it as there is a good balance of spice. If you are trying this, do be careful if you are wearing light coloured clothing.

To end my tasting session, I washed it down with Cookies & Cream Frappe. What stands out for me is the frappe is not overly sweet, just nice for my liking. I have a feeling they are using the same Hokkaido milk that I tasted earlier. This frappe tops the chart as one of my favourite Cookies & Cream drink.

Good news for those who are keen to try the desserts. It is affordable and not going to hurt your wallet. All items are below $10. Most start at the average of $5 and for any extra toppings for the Kurtos & Kurtos Ice Cream, it is an additional $0.50.
So out of the three, which one is my favourite?
Definitely the Kurtos Ice Cream! The dough is super soft and it makes it easy to munch on it. Top it with ice cream, it is a perfect combo.
Do take note that the outlet only provides a table counter for you to enjoy your food and drink. You can also find some good spots nearby such as the ferry terminal to enjoy your desserts!
