Last year, we had the opportunity to interview this band via email. A few weeks ago, we got to meet them live in Singapore for an interview. Meet Ryuta Hidaka, Yoshiyuki Kano, Ryusei Kainuma, Miku Fukahori, Rikiya Okuda, Riki Matsui and Masahiro Sunada from BALLISTIK BOYZ from EXILE TRIBE.

Hailing from Japan, the seven members were based in Thailand last year as part of an agreement to amplify entertainment from Asia to the world through a cultural exchange between Japan and Thailand. This provides them a chance to work with different Thai performers and performed at different events in Thailand. Their outreach in Thailand was a success as they bagged themselves the Asia Rising Star Award at the Thailand Digital Awards 2022.

The band has recently released a new single, All I Ever Wanted, a collaboration with Thai actor and artist, Gulf Kanawut. The music video has garnered more than six million views. The single is an extension of their feelings and appreciation to their supporters and fans. To them, it is meaningless if their friends and fans are not there when they achieved success. “Even if we achieved our goals, [it] does not mean a thing if you are not there. By you, we meant our fans and friends” explained the translator who was present during the interview. 

Being in a group of seven, there might be days where they faced disagreements and misunderstandings as everyone has their own opinion. The band stressed that it is important to respect individuals’ opinions and honesty is the best policy. They have an open communication concept where they take a lot to each other and share their problems. Ultimately, the decision they make is for the best of the band.

Fans can expect more songs and dance routines from the band. They also promised to be closer to their fans. I guess we are expecting more promotional tours around the region?
